The Doncaster Football Club is pleased to announce that Mitch Wilkinson and Ethan Robinson have been appointed as Senior Captains for the 2026 EFNL season.
Following the club’s year of recess, both Wilkinson and Robinson joined the Sharks as key off-season signings and will commence their first campaign in the blue and white hoops in leadership roles. Their appointments mark the beginning of an exciting new era for the club, with a clear focus on driving standards and achieving success both on and off the field.
The senior leadership group will be further strengthened by the inclusion of long-time Sharks Nick Komen and Anthony Minisini, who will play important roles within the extended leadership group. Their experience and deep connection to the club will provide valuable support to the newly appointed captains throughout the season.
The Doncaster Football Club is also pleased to confirm its Reserves leadership group for the 2026 season, with Jono Harding appointed as Reserve Captain. Harding will be supported by Vice Captains Matthey Hoey and Fortis Josephides, while James Kolokythas has been named as part of the broader leadership group.
In a strong reflection of the club’s off-season recruiting, both Senior Captains and the entire Reserves leadership group will lead in their first season at the Sharks. This highlights the confidence placed in this new group to drive standards, shape culture, and contribute to the club’s long-term success.
With leadership now established across both Senior and Reserves programs, the Doncaster Football Club enters the 2026 season united, aligned, and well positioned for a successful year ahead.
The Club’s on-field leaders are appointed through a player-led and coach-led process that reflects our values and leadership qualities, both on and off field. The playing group and key senior staff nominate and vote on candidates.
