Schramms Reserve looks a treat in January

With the water assistance program for sports fields adopted by many local councils, the benefits have clearly been realized with Manningham's premier oval Schramms Reserve.

The drought resistant summer couch variant that has been sewn over the last 2 years has started to wield dividends in a short time frame.

While the program may have been frustrating (for football) in March last year, the difference in 10 months is outstanding - as I walked across the deck in January, I couldn't help but think I could be forgiven for imagining I was about to use a "wood" off a Fairway on one of Melbourne's best golf courses (comments about how I could possibly know what a Fairway feels like are not necessary).
