Rd 4 vs Nth Ringwood
Sharks go outright Top in the battle of the last 2 undefeated teams
Seniors
ventured out to Quambee Reserve to face Nth Ringwood who, like us, were the only other team undefeated in Div 3 - the winner would be on top outright. The first half saw a tight contest but it must be acknowledged that our 3 goal deficit could have been worse as we were struggling with the pace and run of the Saints. The second half produced the form we have witnessed in the first 3 rounds - out scoring the opposition 11 goals to 3 to win the battle for top spot, however, there appears to be little between the teams. Some good returns with Jake Hislop (5 Goals) continuing to show his class, Purple Patch Gallace (4 Goals) and Pat Considine showing how much he was missed last year recording his second bag of 4 Goals this season. Also notable was Zane Pugliese's introduction in the second half who added the same zip we were struggling with the opposition in the first half.

Reserves
Struggled against superior opposition who were bigger, faster and generally better in all aspects of the game. This is a result of the Nth Ringwood Club having year after year of colts coming through and sticking together. It may be of little solace but our guys are at year 1 of this process and need to stick at it to build similar depth. Still, always disappointing to be held goalless in a match

Best Players: Jacko, Goodwin, Browney, Parker
Under 18's
not dissimilar to the Reserves where we were beaten by a far superior team and again you can look at the same reasons of continuous junior sides coming into the Colts after playing together for a number of years, where as our boys have been together for a couple of months - stick at it boys you are year 2 of the process !! not all teams will be that good as we've seen
