Season Update

As I’m sure you are all aware Lockdown 6.0 has seen the cancellation of all community sports for this weekend.
All clubs are awaiting updated information from the EFNL Executive in relation to the proposed re-commencement of play, which is reliant on Lockdown concluding and the easing of further restrictions. As soon as we are informed as to the road map forward all Members will be advised.
Coaching Announcement
It is with sadness that I must inform you all that Stewart Kemperman advised the club earlier this week that he would not be in a position to Coach the Doncaster Football Club for season 2022. Kemps is actively pursuing career aspirations that may take him interstate or see him with an increased workload which would render him unable to committ the required time to coach at Premier level. Kemps delivered the news to the playing group last night prior to the Lockdown commencing.
On behalf of the Committee, Sponsors and Members I would like to thank Kemps for the huge amount of work he has put into the club over the past 3 years, which have been quite trying to say the least. The club respects your decision and appreciates the manner in which you communicated it with the Committee and playing group. The Doncaster family wishes Stewart, Aimee and the kids all the best with their future endeavours and look forward to hopefully getting another game in this year to send you off with a win.
Kemps you are a true gentleman and are always welcome at Shark Park.
The club has begun the process of targeting the right individual to lead the club in the 2022 season.
Social Functions
We are still hopeful that functions planned for later in the season (Business Lunch, Presidents Dinner and Past Players Day) will still be able to go ahead, but in these ever changing times it is difficult to plan too far ahead and consideration is being given to some cancellations. We will provide a further update next week when we have a better understanding of what restrictions lie ahead.
I wish everyone the best over the next week, stay safe and healthy, and hopefully we will see you at Schramms in the near future.
Sean O’Gorman
President – Doncaster Football Club
